Budweiser and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation donate to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund

August 13th, 2011

Margarita Flores and Phoenix HSF Scholar Tomas Espinosa from Arizona State University.

The Vicente Fernández 2011 U.S. tour, presented by Budweiser, kicked off in May 2011. That means good news for local students in the 20 cities on the singing legend’s much anticipated concert tour, because this is the second consecutive year that Budweiser and Anheuser-Busch have partnered with the Mexican singing legend to boost educational opportunities in the Latino community.

Budweiser and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation is donating a university scholarship at each concert venue and will be donating a total of $100,000 this year to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund as part of this special program. “It’s inspiring every time I meet a student or graduate who was able to attend college because of Anheuser-Busch’s support of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund,” said Margarita Flores, Vice President of Community Affairs at Anheuser-Busch.
